3M Company has introduced a wireless hearing protector with high fidelity speakers and an integrated microphone to enable two-way phone calls.

The 3M WorkTunes Connect Wireless Hearing Protector helps provide hearing protection for lawn and landscape crews that spend extended amounts of time around loud mowers, blowers and trimmers.

They also keep users connected with Bluetooth wireless technology, which allows users to make and take phone calls on the job. The company says it also adds an element of fun to the work day with the high fidelity speakers that stream users’ entertainment of choice.

“It’s important for lawn and landscape workers to protect their hearing when on the job,” said Lindsay Adams of the 3M Construction and Home Improvement Markets division. “They are often exposed to loud and constant noise for much or all of their work day. Wearing hearing protection isn’t always top of mind, but we’ve designed a product to help meet the protection needs yet add function and fun making it more desirable to wear.”
