The Landscape Institute has launched a new website, Be a Landscape Architect, which provides an overview of the career, serves as a resource for anyone interested in the profession and explains the unique contributions to society of landscape architects.

Under “The Big Picture” tab on the site, the British professional organization has a series of videos that discuss the future of landscapes. The institute also looks at the key issues landscape architects face in their jobs, such as green infrastructure, public health and livability.

The Be a Landscape Architect website also has student biographical information, outlining their studies and experiences so far and the reasons they became interested in the field. The site showcases both students’ and alumni’s work, including designs by Bethany Williams and Stuart Towner, who won Gold and Best in Show at the Hampton Court Flower Show for their garden.

The Landscape Institute also provides a picture of what work is like in the profession by listing the kinds of projects landscape architects do and the types of clients they work with, in addition to providing interviews with professionals about an average day of work.

Founded in Great Britain in 1929, the Landscape Institute works to promote landscape design and protect natural and built environments for the public.
