NALP’s ‘LANDSCAPES 2016’ will be full speed during GIE+EXPO

nalp-landscapes-2016-logoWhen GIE+EXPO rolls around each year, the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP) goes all out. It’s already clear 2016 will be no exception. At the industry’s largest trade show, the industry’s largest trade association will present – what else? – “the largest educational event in the landscape industry.”

It’s called “LANDSCAPES 2016” and it coincides with GIE+EXPO, which is Oct. 19-21 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville. Hardscapes North America (HNA) is co-located with GIE+EXPO again this year. Here’s the link to registration information and online registration.

This year’s convention will feature more than 40 sessions, organized in six educational tracks: leadership; business management; operations; human resources; sales and marketing; and safety and technical.

Formats will vary widely, from town hall meetings to deep-dive workshops, lightning-round sessions to roundtable discussions. Some will be what NALP is calling “power sessions.”

One-on-one advice available

NALP members can also schedule one-on-one, 75-minute business consultations with leading business owners who are part of the association’s Trailblazer program.

New this year, instead of one keynote session to open the conference, there will be three “power sessions” each morning that will feature the most in-demand experts.

“Our education line-up delivers vital education for every career position in the industry,” said Sabeena Hickman, chief executive of NALP. “When you add in networking with national experts and the peer learning, it really is a must-attend event.”

LANDSCAPES 2016 registration also includes registration to GIE+EXPO and is approved for Landscape Industry Certified recertification at 1 CEU per hour of instruction attended. Educational programs presented by the Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS) and HNA also qualify toward recertification.

LANDSCAPES 2016 is sponsored by John Deere at the Platinum level, with additional support by Caterpillar as Gold Sponsor, and Bayer as Silver Sponsor.
