Trimble has unveiled a new suite of laser-based machine display and control systems for grading and excavating. The new Spectra Precision Laser machine systems can be used on dozers, backhoes, scrapers, skid steers and excavators, and on dozers can be upgraded to automatic machine control. The new lineup includes three laser receivers, the LR30, LR50 and LR60 laser receivers, and a control box. The L30 features five channels of information, deirectional out-of-beam indicators and selectable accuracies. In addition to six channels of grade information and an out-of-beam indicator, the LR50 features built-in blade tilt indication and can be programmed to match an existing grade. The LR60 has eight channels of information, out-of-beam indicators and angle compensation for excavators allowing the operator to check grade as he is working.
