Cat Dealers Continue to Help Oklahoma Tornado Victims

081613_Warren Tornado Update2_webAfter an EF5 tornado swept through Moore, Oklahoma on May 20, the destruction was overwhelming.

Companies, volunteers and organizations worked together to help restore the area, and although national news has moved on three months later, the clean up continues.

One Caterpillar dealer, Warren Cat, was onsite helping first responders with the disaster and has continued the help the area.

Dealers Warren, Foley and Holt Cat provided power modules, excavators, generator sets and light towers to help following the tornado.

The dealers are continuing to provide construction equipment to help clear debris from the tornado-stricken area.

Warren Cat and Holt Cat provided electric power generation for the Toby Keith Twister Relief concert that helped raise more than $3.3 million to date for the United Way of Central Oklahoma tornado relief fund.

According to the company, several dealers’ customers are installing underground storm shelters, and the city is considering new building codes that would require all new homes and buildings constructed to have a storm shelter or safe room.
