EPA WaterSense Releases 2013 Accomplishments Report

EPA WaterSense recently released its 2013 report, which tallies its accomplishments for the year.

A total of 316 homes earned the WaterSense label by the end of 2013, and many yards were designed with the WaterSense Water Budget Tool, which takes local climate conditions into consideration when it comes to irrigation.

Additionally, the organization launched a social marketing campaign called Sprinkler Spruce-Up, which encourages individuals to “inspect, connect, direct and select” sprinkler systems.

Since 2006, WaterSense has saved 757 billion gallons of water, which is enough water to supply all of the homes in the United States for 26 days.

Additionally, WaterSense has more than 1,470 organizational partners and more than 1,430 irrigation professionals certified through the labeled programs.
