Makita says its new 18V X2 LXT (36V) Chain Saw, which is engineered with a purpose-built outer-rotor brushless motor for faster cutting, will be available early in 2017.

The new chain saw is powered by two 18-volt lithium-ion batteries – the same batteries that power more than 150 Makita 18V cordless tools.

Also, while cooler temperatures may herald the end of mosquito season in much of the country, Makita says its new MM4 4-Stroke Engine Mist Blower is ideal for mosquito eradication. The mist blower can dispense liquid fertilizer and pesticides.

The mist blower’s 4-stroke engine requires no fuel mixing. Makita says the engine produces lower emissions and achieves better fuel economy than competitors’ models.

Makita notes that its tools for landscaping and hardscape projects include trimmers as well, along with a wide variety of cordless products. For more information on the manufacturer’s product offerings, visit the Makita website here.
