Little Wonder recently introduced the newest accessories for its Optimax blowers. These accessories include a tool holder, solid front wheel and a parking brake.

Little Wonder states that these accessories increase durability on challenging terrain as well as add convenience and safety.  This line of blowers and accessories was showcased at The Rental Show, where it celebrated its 95th year in business.

Featuring an advanced impeller and aerodynamic design, the Optimax’s blower range includes self-propelled or push models. Little Wonder says that this design results in 38 percent more air movement than competitive blowers, and air speeds can range from 143 to 170 miles per hour.

“We feel these are the best-designed blowers in the world,” said Bruno Quanquin, Little Wonder vice president of sales and marketing. “The force of the airflow and the split stream design mean the Optimax blowers can move material faster and farther than alternative methods. It’s effective even in wet conditions.”

Maximum airflow is provided by an all-steel impeller design and a reverse-angled, seven-blade fan, and the scrolled, aerodynamic air inlet maintains constant power that won’t clog if leaves are drawn in. Movement of standing water and debris is better controlled by a large, square discharge chute, which rides just two inches off the ground.

Little Wonder says it uses an split-stream air deflector on the 25-square-inch discharge chute to eliminate blow-back and move debris in one pass. This deflector can be controlled at the operator’s handle. Air that is discharged can be directed to the side or front of the unit to move debris where needed.

Optimax blowers are self-propelled and move as fast as 4.1 mph forward and 2.5 mph in reverse; the handle’s height can also be adjusted on all models for user comfort and maneuverability, Little Wonder says.

Push models feature tubed pneumatic tires, and self-propelled blowers incorporate large, 12-inch pneumatic rear turf tread tires for a wider stance and better traction.

Protecting the engine is the steel, single-piece deck and lower handle, which also gives a solid base. A steel rear transport bracket and dual tie-down mounts are welded to the top of the blower housing for protection of the machine during transport. Lift handles are also welded to the lower blower housing to make it easier to load and unload.

A line of accessories is offered for the Optimax blowers, such as a 12-gauge steel tool holder that attaches to either side of the blower, two tool holders, a parking brake kit-which can be engaged and disengaged by foot- for push models to secure both wheels and a 10.5-inch diameter solid wheel option.

An optional Swivel Wheel Kit gives users the ability to make 360-degree turns while minimizing tire wear, Little Wonder says.

Little Wonder Optimax blowers are backed with a five-year warranty.
