Ruppert Landscape growth spurs staff additions, promotions

Ruppert Landscape recently announced several staff additions and promotions within the company’s accounting, human resources, and information technology departments at the company’s corporate office in Laytonsville, Maryland.

Victoria Attwood and Andrea Mayer, both residents of Germantown, Maryland, have joined the company’s accounting department as accounts payable/accounts receivable (AP/AR) specialists.

Attwood holds a bachelor’s degree in combined studies from the University of Leicester in England. Mayer holds an associate’s degree in business from Georgia Perimeter College. As AP specialists, they will be responsible for logging AP invoices, processing AP checks, managing vendor and intercompany branch phone calls, daily posting and researching of AP invoices, and working with the team as needed to accomplish accounting goals.

Ranjani Devi, a resident of Silver Spring, Maryland, has joined the company’s accounting department as staff accountant, and Hunter Thompson, a resident of Charlestown, West Virginia, has been promoted from AP specialist to staff accountant.

Devi holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting/financial management and economics from the University of the South Pacific in Fiji. Thompson holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration and economics from McDaniel College.

As staff accountants, their responsibilities will include overseeing accounts payable, reconciling branch checkbooks, compiling and filing of sales, use and personal property taxes, updating the fixed asset ledger and Ruppert’s capital purchase schedule.

Lily Novakova, a resident of Germantown, Maryland, and Bruk Woldesenbet, a resident of Washington, D.C., have joined the company’s accounting department as AP/AR specialists.

Novakova holds a master’s degree in marketing and a bachelor’s degree in macroeconomics from the University of National and World Economy in Bulgaria and an associate’s degree in accounting from Montgomery College.

Woldesenbet holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Addis Ababa in Ethiopia.

Their responsibilities will include overseeing branch contract billing, logging invoices, processing checks, managing cash deposits and application, and working with the team as needed to accomplish accounting goals.

Jibran Misbah, a resident of Derwood, Maryland, has been promoted from AP/AR specialist to general ledger accountant. His responsibilities will include managing the company’s monthly financial close and maintaining the data integrity of the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements and compliance to internal policies, overseeing account reconciliations and accounts receivable, analyzing and maintaining the fixed asset ledger.

Stephanie WhealtonStephanie Whealton

Stephanie Whealton, a resident of Sykesville, Maryland, has joined the company’s human resources department as employee development specialist. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and human resource management from Towson University. In her new role, she will help deliver training programs, administer Ruppert’s Learning Management System, set up management training classes and create new training content.

Lauren Dugan, a resident of Woodbine, Maryland, has been promoted from administrative assistant to human resource specialist. She holds a bachelor’s degree in human resource management from Virginia Tech. In her new role, she will support the HR department with a focus on recruiting and safety.

Casey Mills, a resident of Frederick, Maryland, has joined the company’s IT department as help desk lead. He holds an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Frederick Community College and is a member of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves. Mills will support the company’s business operations by providing timely and efficient IT support.
