Stihl intros battery-powered TSA 230 Cutquick cut-off machine

Updated Feb 9, 2015

Stihl’s TSA 230 Cutquick introduces battery-powered cut-off machines for pros at the World of Concrete in Las Vegas.

With a 36-volt lithium-ion battery, the TSA 230 provides zero-exhaust emissions, an asset for indoor jobsites and areas where gas-powered cut-off machines aren’t allowed. The saw can operate for up to 15 minutes without a depreciable loss in performance.

The saw weighs in at slightly less than 9 pounds without a battery and abrasive wheel, and features a brushless high-torque electric motor. Dust is kept down in dry cutting applications via a vacuum adapter and depth guide, which reduces dust kick-up.

In addition to dry cutting, the TSA 230 can also be used for wet cutting applications with an onboard water connection and dust suppression control.
