Compact equipment maker Takeuchi-US has launched a new telematics system, Takeuchi Fleet Management (TFM). The company calls TFM the “first step in a multifaceted initiative” to know its customers better.

TFM hardware comes standard on select excavators and track loaders that are now available at Takeuchi dealers.

The manufacturer says the TFM monitoring system checks the health of Takeuchi equipment and presents that information in real time.

Remote diagnostics capturing run hours and equipment data will reduce service trips, the company says, and enable operators to make informed decisions about maintenance schedules.

Takeuchi says its new fleet management services will save its customers time, parts and money by avoiding unnecessary maintenance. If a machine problem exists, TFM minimizes cost by identifying it immediately and limits downtime by providing information repair personnel need in order to bring the correct tools and parts the first time.

Machines equipped with TFM hardware as standard equipment will also include two years of standard service. You can find more information on the Takeuchi Fleet Management system and the company’s compact excavators, skid steers, track loaders and wheel loaders here.
