Toro has made several changes to their mowers and introduced a new product to their lineup with landscapers in mind.
The first innovation, which the company was promoting at this week’s GIE+EXPO in Louisville, Kentucky, is the MyRide suspension system. It’s available on select models of Toro’s Z Master zero-turn mowers. The 3000 Series and the 5000 Series with 52-inch and 60-inch cutting decks, along with the 6000 Series with the 60-inch and 72-inch cutting decks, are all able to use the MyRide suspension system.
The MyRide system has a fully suspended operator platform that is designed to reduce the bumps encountered while mowing. It also incorporates rear-shock assemblies that have five different preference settings from hard to soft.
“Our goal was to combine Toro’s legendary toughness with an industry-leading ride experience,” said Chris Hannan, senior marketing manager for Toro. “The response from those who have used this product has been overwhelmingly positive.”
Toro also says it has made improvements to its GrandStand stand-on mowers, increasing the machines’ productivity while reducing maintenance and making servicing them easier.
In the productivity department, Toro has increased its GrandStand’s speed from 8 mph to 10 mph and the fuel capacity from 7.8 gallons to 10.5 gallons, enabling operators to mow both faster and longer.
The new model of the GrandStand has been streamlined, with both hydraulic hoses and grease points removed entirely. The engine has also been repositioned for easy service access.
“It all comes down to productivity,” said Ross Hawley, senior marketing manager for Toro. “If your mower isn’t mowing, it isn’t making you money. Less time in the shop and more time on the job add up to better productivity and profitability.”

Last but not least is the new GrandStand Multi Force that landscapers can use in any season. The stand-on mower offers the ability to switch between a mowing deck and a Boss snowplow attachment.
The new mower has a “Power Arm” with a lift height of more than 18 inches, enabling the operator to push snow over curbs.
The Multi Force will be available in spring 2016 in two different models. Landscapers will be able to choose 52-inch or 60-inch deck, with a 60-inch Boss snowplow. More attachments are planned for the future.
