Along with golf course groundskeepers, landscape companies serving commercial customers may want to check out Toro’s introduction of its “Two-Post Roll-Over Protection System” (ROPS) extension options on some of the manufacturer’s Groundsmaster and Reelmaster models.

Designed with a focus on ergonomics, the company says, Two-Post ROPS extension kits include a number of accessories aimed at enhancing operator comfort.

Currently available on the Groundsmaster 5900-D Series, the Groundsmaster 4000-D/4100-D Series, and the Groundsmaster 360. Beginning in January, this system will also fit on the 2017 models of the Groundsmaster 4300-D/4500-D/4700-D Series, Reelmaster 5010 Series, and the Reelmaster 7000 Series.

Toro says the extension kits provide several options for the machines, including the addition of an interior adjustable-speed ventilation fan, a sunshade, windshield and wiper, additional lighting, and interior and exterior mirrors.

For golf course applications, Toro offers an optional safety cage, which, while protecting the operator from flying golf balls, can also be locked to prevent vandalism.
