Wacker Neuson Showcases Skid Steers, CTLs Designed for U.S. Market

Updated Mar 20, 2014

In Europe, compact wheel loaders do much of the heavy lifting, but in the United States, landscapers prefer the more versatile skid steer loader or compact track loader.

With that in mind, Wacker Neuson beefed up the skid steers they’ve been selling in Europe for many years and introduced four new models for the American market at ConExpo yesterday: the SW 24 and SW 28 skid steers and the ST 35 and ST 45 compact track loaders.

Wacker had a great booth set up in the show’s silver lot where it was running demos throughout the show. The company showed off the capabilities of the SW 28 and the ST 35 during a press event. You can check out video of the machines in action to the right.

The new machines offer exceptional lift heights and radial or vertical lift designs. All units are available in H-pattern and ISO joystick pilot controls. The line currently includes two skid steers and two compact track loaders powered by 74.4 horsepower turbocharged Perkins Diesel engines with maintenance free, flow-through exhaust aftertreatment.

Here is a brief look at the specs for the SW skid steer loaders and the ST compact track loaders:
