Do you ever worry your truck won’t start when it’s below freezing outside? What about -40 degrees Fahrenheit?

That’s what temperature Canadian Tire tested their truck at, according to a Yahoo! auto article. The group stripped the chassis bare on a 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500 and then rebuilt it using massive blocks of ice. Thus, they created the Ice Truck — a fully drivable pickup composed of ice. It is even adorned with an ice air freshener.

With help from Iceculture — a leading ice construction company — they used 14,000 pounds of ice, welding it rigid to help prevent cracking, and they added extra coolant so the engine didn’t melt the ice too fast.

And guess what — it worked.

They drove this mobile ice sculpture about a mile, averaging 12 mph.

I’m guessing they didn’t install heat.
