John Deere launched its new G-Series in early February, but with a new twist, those interested in the machines can now play with them in an online game.
Small Machine vs. Big Jobs Challenge features the four new skid steers and the one compact track loader model for customers and fans to test out. The game can be played on a computer or smartphone at fearthedeere.com.
The game is broken down into three divisions: farm, construction and landscaping.

The point of the game is to swipe the machine at a certain target, such as a mountainous pile of snow or a pallet of turf. If the machine reaches the required speed for the level, the user proceeds to the next one. If the player fails to swipe fast enough, one of the three lives is lost.
There are a total of 10 levels. After completing the game, users can check out the real-time leaderboard and share their scores on social media.
“We’re excited to launch our new small-frame G-Series models to the market and wanted to invite customers and fans to get to know these machines in a different way,” said Graham Hinch, division manager for John Deere Commercial Worksite Products. “The Small Machine vs. Big Jobs Challenge will familiarize players with the models in our lineup while having a little fun.”
While it’s an unconventional way to become familiar with the specifications of a piece of equipment, the game can certainly help pass the time when you’re stuck inside on a rainy day.
