Set for July 9-12 in Columbus, Ohio, Cultivate ’16 will include more than 120 educational sessions and an 8-acre exhibition area, along with several networking events. The theme of this year’s show, to be held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, is “The New Now.”

On July 10, Jeremy Kingsley, a best-selling author and speaker, will give a presentation titled “Inspired People Produce Results.” According to a news release from AmericanHort, Kingsley asserts that people are a business’s No. 1 asset. He believes the quality of your relationship with people – called “relational equity” – will spell the difference between success and failure.

Kingsley will explain the essential principles and skills for effective leadership, including patience, loyalty, personal attention, integrity and how to inspire others.

In the second keynote presentation, on July 11, author and strategic consultant Scott Steinberg will speak on the topic “Leading with Innovation: How to Future-Proof Yourself, Fearlessly Innovate, and Succeed in the New Normal.”

“In this eye-opening presentation,” the AmericanHort release says, “Steinberg will share how to thrive in the new operating reality, create competitive advantage and successfully leverage new leadership strategies to adapt to changing times.”

Registration for Cultivate ’16 begins March 8.

AmericanHort was formed by the merger of the American Nursery and Landscape Association and OFA – the Association of Horticulture Professionals. The organization has more than 13,000 members, including breeders, greenhouse and nursery growers, garden retailers, distributors, interior and exterior landscape professionals, and florists, among others.
