Power equipment dealers from across the country gathered at Altoz headquarters in Greenbush, Minnesota, last week for a daylong event providing them with both a first look and hands-on demonstrations of the manufacturer’s new 2017 models.

The machines include a zero-turn mower in a completely new segment, Altoz says.

Within the 39-model line-up for 2017, several brand new models were unveiled, including the XE HD, XP HD, Limited Edition XR SS and XE SS models, as well as the Altoz TRX, the outdoor power equipment industry’s first zero-turn mower with tracks.

All the new models will be available to view and demo at Altoz’ outdoor booth (#6700-D) during GIE+EXPO, which will be held Oct. 19-21 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville.

Dealers had plenty of opportunity last week to try out the new models and meet the engineers, sales, marketing and production staff members who play a part in creating Altoz zero-turn mowers.

The day kicked off with Altoz’ owners, Dennis and Terri Brazier, telling the dealers about their background, the story of how Altoz began and their business philosophy in managing the company.

Dealers were also given a behind-the-scenes look at how Altoz mowers are built.

“It’s extremely rewarding to meet our dealers face-to-face and receive such positive feedback on the models we’re introducing this year, CEO Dennis Brazier said. “Based on their reactions, we’re really excited to share the 2017 model line with a wider audience in the weeks ahead.”

Among dealers’ reactions was this observation from Jonathan Sever of Wheels & Blades in Commerce Township, Michigan: “Altoz’ 2017 line-up is excellent and the TRX is unbelievable. I put it in every position possible on the hill – it doesn’t slide, it doesn’t move. If you’re cutting along highways, this is definitely the machine you want.”

Here’s a brief description of 2017’s new models from Altoz:

  • TRX – Developed with patent-pending technology for commercial use on slopes, lowlands and rough terrain. Equipped with rear-mounted tracks supported by torsional rear suspension, the TRX provides the traction, stability and control needed to power over the thickest grass on slopes, Altoz says, and in the harshest conditions where traditional zero-turn mowers can’t effectively or safely cut.
  • Limited Edition SS Models – Features exclusive A arm independent front suspension with adjustable coil springs over gas shocks. Operators can adjust the front suspension for varying conditions to create the best possible ride. Custom paint scheme and graphics package.
  • XP HD – Designed and engineered to deliver reliability, comfort and a precise cut, the manufacturer says, calling the new model “a pro’s machine, built heavy-duty for people that rely on their equipment and demand nothing but perfection.”
  • XE HD – Altoz says the XE models are rugged, reliable and represent a tremendous value based on pricing.

Before wrapping up last week’s meeting, Altoz presented its “Dealer Excellence Award” to Bartlett Coop Trailer and Bed Center of Chetopa, Kansas. Among other things, the award recognizes a consistent track record of increased sales and excellent customer service after the sale.
