Ditch Witch debuted four mini skid steer models along with its new ST37X stand-on trencher during The Rental Show in Orlando, Florida, this week.
The SK600, SK800, SK1050 and SK1550 have all been added to Ditch Witch’s lineup, with the SK1550 becoming the most power mini skid steer the company offers.
The SK600 is designed for small-scale landscape and irrigation jobs, with a narrow frame to navigate tight spaces. It is powered by a 24.8-horsepower Kubota diesel engine and has a 600-pound rated operating capacity.
The machine can use a number of attachments, including augers and trenchers. Users can maintain hydraulic flow to the attachment with an auxiliary-control foot pedal, while their hands are free to control depth and ground speed.
The SK800 is cut out for both large and small jobs, with an 860-pound rated operating capacity. It also uses a 24.8-horsepower Kubota diesel engine and can travel up to 4.8 mph in both forward and reverse. It features an LCD display that provides engine diagnostics.
Powered by 37-horsepower Tier 4 Yanmar diesel engine, the SK1050 has a 1,062-pound operating capacity and an 83-inch hinge-pin height for a wide range of dump heights.
For better fuel economy, the model features an auto-throttle that reduces engine RPM after periods of inactivity.
All four of the models feature a low-maintenance gauge track-tensioning system that uses a grease cylinder for easy track removal and reducing downtime, according to Ditch Witch.
The SK1550 can handle jobs like tree handling and sod transfer, according to the company and uses a 44-horsepower Tier 4 Yanmar turbo-charged diesel engine. Users can select auxiliary flow settings at low, medium or high, to ensure attachments are run at their most efficient rate.
It boasts of a 1,558-pound rated operating capacity and has 9-inch ground clearance for more rugged terrain. This model can travel at 4.7 mph and has a 94-inch hinge-pin height.
Front and back LED lights are included for better visibility during nighttime and low-light jobs. The SK1550 comes with an LCD screen as well as the auto-throttle feature.

Also new during the trade show is the ST37X stand-on trencher. This machine is ideal for creating installing drainage pipe, trenching, and other landscaping applications, according to Ditch Witch.
Complete with a heavy-duty, 50,000-pound chain and integrated digging system, the ST37X can trench up to 16-inches wide and 36-inches deep. It is powered by a 37-horsepower Tier 4 Yanmar diesel engine.
For those working long hours, the machine comes with a 74-inch operator platform, which is spring-supported. Operators can independently control each track for jobsite mobility with the standard, duel-lever drive controls.
