Updates to two of Ram’s leading model lines, the 2017 Ram 1500 Rebel and Ram Limited, will add a seventh color option for the brand’s 1500 off-road model.

Joining the Bright Silver Metallic, Bright White, Brilliant Black, Flame Red, Granite Crystal Metallic and Mojave Sand is the Ram Rebel 1500 Delmonico Red.

The company also says that the most premium members of the Ram pickup truck lineup, Ram Limited models, will be available with body-color side steps and R-A-M tailgate letters. These will replace the chrome tailgating letters and side steps.

“Truck buyers are looking for new colors and features that make a statement and allow them to stand out from the crowd,” said Mike Manley, head of Ram Truck, FCA – Global. “Whether it’s the off-road enthusiast appeal of the Ram 1500 Rebel or the luxury and sophistication of the Ram Limited, Ram trucks deliver features and durability that are winning over more and more owners.”

Adding no additional charge to the family of colors, the Rebel Delmonico Red exterior color is available in all Rebel models and monotone or two-tone (black lower panels) paint treatments. The Delmonico Red can also be ordered with the Rebel Black appearance package, which features black wheels and front skid plate.

Featuring black and gray interior with black anodized bezels on the doors, center console, instrument panel and gauge cluster trim rings, the Ram Rebel Delmonico Red comes with all-black heated seats with black “Rebel” embroidery highlighted by Light Slate Gray accent stitching. This stitching also traces the instrument panel, doors, seats and center console lid. The model also features deep rubber floor mats.

Starting at the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $45,095 plus $1,395 destination, the Ram Rebel Delmonico Red will begin arriving at dealerships in May 2017, and orders are now open.

Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 Limited trim pickups can also be order now with monochromatic R-A-M tailgate letters, including Bright Silver Metallic, Bright White, Brilliant Black Crystal, Delmonico Red, Granite Crystal Metallic, Maximum Steel Metallic, Pearl White and True Blue.

Also available in the Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 are new body-colored cab-length running boards that enhance the monochromatic exterior when paired with the body-tailgate lettering.

Starting at $53,265 plus $1,395 destination, the Ram Limited’s MSRP monochromatic appearance package will start arriving at dealerships in May 2017. When ordered separately, body-colored running boards and R-A-M tailgate letters are currently available for ordering and are priced at $195 each.

Also available with body-colored running boards are the Ram 1500 Night editions in Bright Silver Metallic, Bright White, Brilliant Black and Granite Chrystal. With the running boards, the starting MSRP for the Ram 1500 Night is $38,885 plus $1,395 destination.

About the Ram Limited

The Ram Limited features all-black, full-leather seating, real wood interior components and unique badges. Ram says that the most prominent exterior distinction of the Limited is the truck’s billet port grille, which breaks from the long tradition of crosshair styling with bold “RAM” lettering. Also featuring a bolder “RAM” tailgate design and 20-inch forged multi-surface aluminum wheels, Ram says it is unique in the truck market.

Inside stitching accents, unique materials and patterns and pin-striping are found through the interior, as well as a deep console bin which houses a cellphone and tablet holder. These can be concealed with a tambour wood sliding door made from Black Argento wood. Standard equipment such as the Active-air suspension system is included and comes with five settings: entry/exit, aero mode, normal ride height, off-road 1 and off-road 2.

A Uconnect connectivity system with WiFi hotspot and voice-to-text capability are available as well to Ram owners, Ram says. Delivering a gas towing capacity of 16,320 pounds, the 2017 Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty Laramie, Longhorn and Limited models feature the 6.4- liter HEMI V8 as standard equipment. Ram Limited and Heavy Duty Longhorn 4×4 models come with Bilstein monotube shocks.
