Toro introduced many new products at The Rental Show last week, including a tracked mud buggy and log splitter.
The patent-pending MB TX 2500 serves as a solution for concrete placement and material handling equipment, according to Toro. It can carry up to 2,500 pounds of material and runs on a 25-horsepower KOHLER Confidant engine.
The mud buggy can travel up to 6 mph forward and 3 mph in reverse. The controls allow for better maneuverability in confined spaces and are intuitive for operators of any skill level.
The MB TX 2500 features Endless Kevlar reinforced tracks for traveling undulating terrains such as hillsides, culverts and ditches and performs well in mud, gravel and snow.
“Simply put, the features our engineers integrated into this new mud buggy model are focused on increasing jobsite productivity and ultimately ROI,” said Sean O’Halloran, marketing manager at Toro. “From the impressive engine power, to the easy-to-use controls, to the high carrying-capacity of the new machine, it’s all centered around being extremely efficient.”
The model comes with a dump switch that is always at the operator’s fingertips, and has an auto-return dump feature that allows the user to no longer wait for the tub to return to traveling position.
The belts, hydraulics, battery and engine compartment are easily accessible and there are fewer hoses than other material handlers to cut down on servicing time and maintenance costs. The MB TX 2500 will be available in early 2017.

Another new product that Toro added to its rental product lineup is its log splitter, the LS 922.
It has a 22-ton cutting force and is powered by a Honda GX270. The unit can be operated both horizontally or vertically and comes with a duel wheel jack to assist in maneuvering over difficult terrain.
The 9-inch solid steel wedge can rapidly make clean cuts on a 12-second cycle.
“The new Toro log splitter was designed with a strong focus on the overall operator experience,” O’Halloran said. “Its extremely durable design makes it an ideal addition to our lineup. This intuitive and easy-to-use unit is sure to make quick work of any splitting job, while being backed by the durability and support that Toro is known for.”
