People: Rhodeside & Harwell promotes 6 to senior associate

Rhodeside & Harwell, an award-winning landscape architecture and planning practice currently celebrating its 30th anniversary, has promoted the following six employees to senior associate:

Eric FeldmanEric Feldman

Eric Feldman, AICP, is an urban planner whose 16 years of experience range from land-use planning, urban design and neighborhood revitalization to environmental impact analyses and public realm design. Feldman has been with Rhodeside & Harwell since 2004. His experience includes national efforts to promote smart growth and healthy communities. Feldman holds a master’s degree in city planning as well as the Certificate in Urban Design from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He earned his bachelor’s at Vassar College. Feldman is a member of the American Planning Association.

Sukirti GhoshSukirti Ghosh

Sukirti Ghosh is an urban designer with 17 years of experience on projects throughout the United States and overseas. Trained as an architect in his native India, he has since devoted his career to planning and urban design, working in both the public and private sectors. Ghosh holds a master’s degree in city and regional planning from Ohio State University and the Bachelor of Architecture from Bengal Engineering College. He is a LEED Green Associate, an associate member of the Urban Land Institute and a member of the American Planning Association.

Megan MansellMegan Mansell

Megan Mansell is marketing coordinator with Rhodeside & Harwell. The new senior associate has been with the firm for 10 years and oversees business development efforts, promotional materials and brand marketing. She is part of the firm’s social media team and contributes to project reports and graphics. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Maryland at College Park.

Ron Sessoms is an urban designer whose work focuses on creating walkable and bikeable communities. His experience encompasses urban planning and design within rural, suburban and urban contexts, including low-impact development strategies, street design and corridor planning. Sessoms holds a bachelor’s degree

in urban and regional planning from East Carolina University and a master’s in urban design from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is a member of the American Planning Association.

Qiaojue YuQiaojue Yu

Qiaojue Yu is a landscape architect with more than 10 years of experience. The newly named senior associate has worked on projects both in the United States and abroad, including parks, campuses, residential and retail developments, urban design,

Derrick WolbaumDerrick Wolbaum

and community planning. She earned her master’s in landscape architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as well as a Bachelor of Architecture from Zhejiang University in China.

Derrick Wolbaum is a landscape designer with expertise in large and complex projects, including urban landscapes. The new senior associate has 11 years of experience and recently completed the landscape design for a major mixed-use tower in Tysons Corner. He holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from North Dakota State University.

Based in Alexandria, Virginia, Rhodeside & Harwell also has a design studio in New York.

Connecticut landscaper hires managers

Jeremy FergusonJeremy Ferguson

LaurelRock Co., a residential landscape design/build and maintenance firm in Wilton, Connecticut, recently announced the hiring of five new managers.

Jeremy D. Ferguson will serve as landscape architect and project manager. LaurelRock’s announcement says Ferguson has spent more than two decades designing unique outdoor spaces for hospitality industry clients worldwide.

Elizabeth ReinhardtElizabeth Reinhardt

As LaurelRock’s “Lead Landscape Architect and Project Manager,” the company news release states, Ferguson also will leverage his extensive background in high-end, residential design/build projects.

LaurelRock has appointed Elizabeth Reinhardt as its garden and property manager. She has more than 10 years of horticultural operations experience.

Reinhardt will bring that expertise to the creation and maintenance of customized residential landscapes in her new position.

Before joining LaurelRock, Reinhardt was a landscape manager and private gardener, managing all the outdoor planting and indoor staging aspects of numerous rentals, for-sale homes and commercial properties.

Maggie LiangMaggie Liang

Maggie Liang has been named landscape designer at LaurelRock. The company says Liang’s design and landscape architecture expertise is heavily influenced by her global experience, having lived and worked in China and Australia in addition to the United States.

She will work in conjunction with the design team on all LaurelRock projects.

Juan TorresJuan Torres

Juan Torres, enhancement and fine gardening production manager, brings more than 25 years of experience in guiding and directing all aspects of operations.

Fluent in English and Spanish, Torres brings a wealth of experience to his new position, from training Disneyland staff to landscape operations management.

He has also served as a bilingual instructor in the landscaping and arboriculture industry.

Marisol RodriguezMarisol Rodriguez

Marisol Rodriguez has been named head of human resources and office administrator. She has 26 years of human resource experience, including management oversight of benefits, compensation, work/life programs, and staffing.

LaurelRock is a landscape development firm comprised of landscape architects, construction experts and garden managers. The company handles both site design and project construction.

Hyundai names district sales manager

Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas has appointed David Vicha as district sales manager supporting dealers throughout Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and parts of Louisiana and Missouri.

David VichaDavid Vicha

A graduate of North Dakota State University with a degree in business administration, Vicha has 21 years of experience in retail management. He spent the past five years in the equipment industry.

“With David’s combined experience in construction and management, he is a valuable asset to our sales team,” said Thomas Owen, North American sales manager, Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas.

Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas sells crawler excavators ranging from compact models to mass excavators, as well as wheeled excavators, wheel loaders, compaction equipment, hydraulic breakers and forklifts.
