The Naples Botanical Garden is finally moving forward on a large project after 80 years of planning. The botanical garden will be building a new 20,000-square-foot visitor center, which will have a store, an auditorium, more gardens and a restaurant, according to NBC2.

Reflect on Nature
The Lan Su Chinese garden brings harmony and culturally symbolic plants to Portland. Pass the chained bicycles, rose-adorned street signs, people who “Keep Portland Weird” and a pair of lions guarding the Chinatown gate lie traces of an ancient world. Once inside the walls of the Lan Su Chinese Garden, visitors are asked to turn off their cell phones and have the option of removing their shoes for a more natural experience. Only the occasional screeching tires remind visitors of the busy world outside the compound.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin residents are not enjoying homegrown vegetables right in their backyard thanks to the Victory Garden Initiative. Through community groups, volunteers and support of Case Construction Equipment, the garden could be constructed as part of the Victory Garden Blitz, which is an event that involved the installation of 500 new vegetable gardens through the City of Milwaukee from May 11-25.
