The edible landscaping company Agriscaping Technologies is kicking off its first national tour tomorrow and will be traveling to 25 different states.

The event is free and will focus on educating landscapers about the emerging trends in edible landscaping and the technologies available to them.

According to Justin Rohner, owner and founder of Agriscaping Technologies, he decided to offer the tour as a way to reach more landscapers as the demand for edible landscaping continues to grow.

“It’s leading the way to sustainable landscaping and landscape owners are trying to make their properties as sustainable as possible,” Rohner said. “We’ve built a whole system that’s very beneficial to the local food economy.”

Some of the presentations are labeled for professionals, and these delve more into the case studies and what professionals are currently doing in the edible landscaping business.

The sessions are two hours long and cover seven different topics for each hour. The first half of the class is about the current situation, challenges, technology and potential landscapers can expect from agriscaping. Rohner will discuss professional case studies and present sample projects.

The second hour is about the local community, such as working with HOAs, and collaboration efforts with supply and labor chains.

“It’s helping them to know what help is available to them right now,” Rohner said.

Landscapers interested in attending are requested to RSVP, as food will be served at the events and an accurate headcount is needed. For those that are unable to attend one of these sessions, online classes will be available in the near future.
