To attract new members, the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP, formerly PLANET) will help landscaping companies get their new technicians “up and running in no more than 15 training days, while promoting professionalism and growing their knowledge base,” a news release from the organization says.

NALP says its new Lawn Care Technician Training Program, which is available to members only, focuses on key elements of customer service, turf identification, insect identification, fertilizer and pesticides, proper application techniques and safe driving.

The program includes PowerPoint presentations to reinforce the key points of lessons, and companies have the option of including their own policies, as well as photos from their particular region, to localize the training sessions.

For more information, visit NALP online or call 800-395-2522.
