Walker Mowers accepting entries for 2008 ‘Beautiful Places’ calendar

Walker Mowers is accepting entries for its 2008 “Beautiful Places” calendar contest, which includes a $1,000 award for the cover photo chosen and two $500 awards for runner-up photographs.

Entrants should submit two photographs of a beautiful place where the Walker Mower is used. The mower should appear as only a small part of the landscape, with the focus of the photographs emphasizing the beauty of the location. Walker encourages entrants to focus on the artistic elements or distinguishing features of the property being photographed.

High-resolution, digital photographs are preferred. Minimum photo size requirements are 3600 by 2400 pixels (12″ by 8″ at 300 dpi). The person who usually mows the property should be the photographed subject. Entrants should submit at least two photographs to be judged, as well as information about the property, which should include location, description, names of the operator and/or company that maintains the property, unique details and any other pertinent information.

The deadline for entries is August 15. Entries should be mailed to “2008 Beautiful Places Calendar Contest,” 5925 E. Harmony Road, Fort Collins, CO 80528.

Walker employees, who each receive one vote, will judge entries to select a winner. For more information, click here, or contact Tim Cromley at (800) 279-8537, ext. 227.
