Husqvarna hosts green industry leaders’ conference

Husqvarna hosted many of the green industry’s leading landscape and arborist professionals in Charlotte, North Carolina for a special conference May 18-20. The purpose of the program was to learn new approaches and business solutions as well as interact and share ideas for success.

The events began with a business session led by the Wilson-Oyler Group, an industry leading consultancy for professional landscape organizations, which provided strategies for improving profits through margin aggression. A panel discussion followed with additional tips and techniques for running a more efficient, profitable operation.

The next day included remarks from David Zerfoss, president of Husqvarna Forest & Garden, followed by presentations regarding market leadership and the development of management teams. Representatives from Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio, then shared details regarding a new partnership with Husqvarna for a landscape management curriculum and fleet management/repair certification program. Husqvarna is assisting the college to develop the new curriculum and is also offering financial support and scholarships.

After lunch, the group boarded buses for Lowe’s Motor Speedway to enjoy the remainder of the day at the NASCAR
