Ewing gives away wristbands to encourage water conservation

In an effort to raise awareness for Smart Irrigation Month, Ewing Irrigation Products will distribute blue, silicone wristbands with the message “Be true to blue-use water wisely.” Designed to create interest in proper water management and conservation, the wristbands will be available in July at 170 Ewing locations nationwide.

Smart Irrigation Month, founded by the Irrigation Association, encourages efficient watering practices, technologically advanced irrigation products and water conservation efforts during the month of July, when temperatures are often highest throughout the United States.

Douglas York, president of Ewing, says the aim of the wristbands is to remind everyone about the importance of proper water management and conservation. “We exert a great deal of effort during the year providing education and training on the topic of water management, and Smart Irrigation Month offers us a perfect opportunity to raise awareness of the advanced technology that is already being used successfully throughout the country to save water,” York says.

Landscape professionals may email Ewing’s team of water management specialists with questions about water management and conservation planning. Inquiries should be sent to [email protected].

In addition to the wristbands, Ewing is offering discounts on water-conserving products during the month of July. The free wristbands may also be obtained online while supplies last by clicking here.
