New Holland Construction marks the 35th anniversary of the company’s first skid-steer loader this year. The New Holland L35, introduced in 1972, featured the industry’s first rollover protective structure and vertical parallel lift boom system. New Holland vice president Terry Sheehan says the company will produce the 220,000th unit in 2007.
To celebrate the anniversary, New Holland introduced a new cab design for Super Boom skid-steer loaders and compact track loaders which increases space, visibility and operator comfort. The company also introduced the L175 skid-steer loader in honor of the occasion. The L175 has a 2,000-pound SAE-rated load capacity, a New Holland turbocharged engine rated at 60 gross horsepower and a 4,300-pound bucket breakout force.
New Holland will display a custom black and silver 35th anniversary skid-steer loader at trade shows and exhibits throughout 2007.
