BASF Turf and Ornamentals has entered into a marketing partnership with FarmLinks to showcase its products at a unique research facility.
Through this partnership, BASF will research and test its products at the FarmLinks golf course, which has already begun using BASF products such as Curalan EG, Emerald, Insignia and Trinity fungicides, Basagran T/O, Drive, Pendulum and Pendulum Aqua Cap herbicides and Amdro Pro fire ant bait.
“Reaching turf professionals in this intimate environment, physically demonstrating best chemical practices and listening to the needs and concerns of these customers is a tremendous business and relationship opportunity,” says Dr. Toni Bucci, business manager for BASF Turf and Ornamentals. “In addition to showcasing BASF product innovation, we’re able to listen to feedback from participants so we can better meet their current and emerging pest issues.”
Erle Fairly, president of FarmLinks, says the marketing partnership will benefit FarmLinks and the more than 1,200 superintendents who visit the property each year. “Through our ongoing research, we know that superintendents are looking for easy-to-use chemical solutions that offer better value, and there is an enormous demand for information to help golf course superintendents and turf professionals select solutions to meet their turf and ornamental challenges,” Fairly says. “FarmLinks has sought out leaders in the industry to address these challenges, and I can’t think of a more ideal fit than BASF.”
The Toro Company and Agrium Advanced Technologies are also partners of FarmLinks, which is a leading marketing and advertising medium that aims to put products directly into the hands of decision-makers in the turf industry and provides opportunities for research and development of golf-related products.
