Kubota on board with National Safety Month

The National Safety Council (NSC) sponsors National Safety Month each year in June. This year, Kubota Tractor is using the month as a call to action for safe tractor operation.

Kubota asks families and businesses to take the time to review safety information for tractors, mowers and utility vehicles. In addition, they are encouraging owners to ensure older tractors and equipment have ROPS and a seatbelt. The NSC has said that machines equipped with these features can save about 350 lives each year.

Though Kubota has provided ROPS on models since 1985, they offer a ROPS and safety belt retrofit for tractors of earlier models. Employees have installed over 10,000 retrofits. By visiting Kubota’s Web site, www.kubota.com, owners can enter their tractor’s model and serial number to attain retrofit pricing. Also available in the site is the “Ten Commandments of Tractor Safety” and a tractor safety coloring book for children.
