IronPlanet, an online auction company for used construction and agricultural equipment, released its first-quarter information. The company reported gross auction sales of $77.6 million, which is an increase of over 135 percent compared with first quarter 2007. IronPlanet also held its largest auction in company history on January 31, 2008. Gross auction sales from that day totaled $19 million.
Other global highlights from IronPlanet’s first quarter include a continued expansion into the Canadian market as well as the start of monthly auctions in Australia.
