John Deere acquires remanufacturing company

John Deere announced it has full ownership of ReGen Technologies, a remanufacturing company in Springfield, Missouri, of which Deere already owned 50 percent. ReGen started in 1998 to remanufacture engines for John Deere products in the United States and Canada. Since then, the company has expanded to remanufacture other engine components, fuel injection systems, starters, alternators, air-conditioning components and other parts for Deere customers.

Remanufacturing operations will be in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and the overall name of the company will be John Deere Reman. The focus of the organization is to grow Deere’s remanufacturing business globally.
