The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) signed an alliance agreement to address safety issues in the landscape industry. Together, the two organizations will work to provide employers and employees with information on vehicle safety and reducing and preventing exposure to material handling, slips, trips and fall hazards.
OSHA and PLANET will collaborate to develop training resources for those in the industry, which will be distributed through electronic media and assistance tools, both organizations’ Web sites and events like the Green Industry Conference, GIE+EXPO and Student Career Days.
