Syngenta Professional Products is offering a money-back guarantee for its Barricade herbicide. According to Syngenta, Barricade controls crabgrass throughout the season following application. Because the company stands behind this assertion, it is offering two programs for lawn care operators.
The Barricade Fall Guarantee Program is for landscapers who want to get a jump on spring crabgrass control on cool season turf. Landscapers who usually make spring herbicide applications may be interested in The Barricade Spring Guarantee Program, which covers the herbicide through fall 2009. Registration is under way for both programs.
Details of the Barricade Guarantee Program:
· To qualify for the program, lawn care operators must purchase $5,000 or more of any combination of Barricade flowable, Barricade 65 WG water-dispersible granule formulation or Barricade on-fertilizer from authorized Syngenta Channel Partners between September 1, 2008, and May 15, 2009.
· The $5,000 worth of products must be applied according to the label at the proper rate, conditions, application date and timing to qualify as well.
· If crabgrass does appear, landscapers must submit a claim by August 1, 2009. Syngenta will verify purchase levels, and a territory manager will determine eligibility for reimbursement of products (up to $80 per acre of product that would be needed in the event of a breakthrough.)
· An area cannot be covered by both the fall program and the spring program.
