As a result of the alliance between PLANET and OSHA, three safety Quick Cards are now available on PLANET’s Web site. All three cards are available in English in the Safety section of the Web site, and Spanish versions will be available in the near future. Quick Cards are free to PLANET members and nonmembers.
The three Quick Card topics include “Gasoline Powered Cut-Off Machines,” “Personal Protective Equipment for Mixing Chemicals in Lawn Care” and “Using Small Equipment Safely in Landscaping.” Each card gives tips and precautions for workplace safety.
The focus of the PLANET/OSHA alliance is to reduce and prevent exposure to manual material handling and slip, trip and fall hazards, and address motor vehicle safety issues.
