PLANET launched a new Web site, www.planetdayofservice.org, to support its new program called PLANET Day of Service. The event will take place April 22. The grassroots event will bring PLANET members and partners, state associations and supplier members together to give back to their communities through volunteer landscape, lawn care or tree care projects.
Participants can use the new Web site to organize their Day of Service events. Companies can register their projects on the site, view an interactive map of other project locations as well as find information on project ideas and tips for planning and running events.
Visitors to the site can also choose to volunteer for a registered event in their region if they are unable to create their own.
