Vermeer receives GSA contract

Vermeer Manufacturing has been awarded a five-year contract from the General Services Administration (GSA) to allow Vermeer dealers to propose bids to a number of government agencies, including municipalities and federal agencies such as the departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Education and Homeland Security. “It’s mainly federal agencies that they’ll have preferred status with,” says Greg Ehm of Two Rivers Marketing.

According to the contract, all Vermeer-manufactured trencher, trenchless and compact equipment is approved for sale to qualified GSA organizations that are considering bids for equipment. “This is a growing market, and Vermeer offers a full line of products through GSA to assist government agencies and municipalities with underground projects,” says Jay Sunderman, senior global account manager for Vermeer.
