IECA creates career center

The International Erosion Control Association has partnered with JobTarget, an industry leader in job board development and management, to introduce a full-service career center that offers advanced services for job seekers and employers.

IECA launched the center to improve connections between the erosion, sediment control and stormwater management industries and the specialized workforce necessary to fill job openings in these areas. Job seekers may post their resumes for free, and an anonymous resume feature enables them to list their experience and qualifications securely, helping job seekers stay in touch with job opportunities without sacrificing control of their confidential information. A job alert system gives users the option for e-mail notification of new job openings based on selected search criteria.

Nearly 100 positions are currently posted to the IECA career center, with titles ranging from Grading, Erosion and Sediment Control Inspector to Auto CAD Designer-Stream Restoration/LID. Academic positions and student internships are also included. Employers can search the resume bank for free, paying only when they find a candidate interested in the position they have available.

“There is a wide range of employers seeking candidates with the specialized skill set that IECA members possess,” says Becky Milot-Bradford, association development director for IECA. “We are fulfilling our members’ requests for a quality career center while answering the needs of the industry.”
