The Mid-America Horticultural Trade Show board of directors, a group of representatives from Mid-Am’s sponsoring organizations (the Illinois Green Industry Association, the Illinois Landscape Contractors Association and the Wisconsin Green Industry Federation), has elected new officers and directors for 2007-2008.
Several officers were re-elected to the executive committee. Randy Jasperson, of Jasperson Sod in Franksville, Wisconsin, was re-elected president. Richard Harms of Countryside Flower Shop & Nursery in Crystal Lake, Illinois, was re-elected vice president. Bill Vogel of Spring Valley Turf Products in Jackson, Wisconsin, was re-elected treasurer. Barbara Rosborough of Rosborough Partners in Libertyville, Illinois, was elected to her first one-year term as secretary.
One new director, Dave Story of Bartlett Tree Experts, was also elected and will serve a three-year term. Connor Shaw of Possibility Place Nursery in Monee, Illinois, Carsten Hoffmeyer of Hoffie Nursery in Union, Illinois, and John Hendrickson of The Care of Trees in Wheeling, Illinois, remain on the board of directors.
