Jacklin named president of Western Seed Association

J.R. Simplot Company and Jacklin Seed’s Gayle Jacklin was named president of the Western Seed Association (WSA). She is the first female president of the WSA.

The association was created in 1899 and serves 700 members from North America and other countries. It holds the American Seed Trade’s Farm and Lawn Seed Division meetings and awards college scholarships.

Jacklin previously served on the WSA board for three years as well as serving as the membership chair for The Field Seed Institute and on the Atlantic Seed Association Board. She was “Seedsman of the Year” in 2002.
