BASF Turf & Ornamentals is using new flexible packaging to help those in the turf industry minimize their impact on the environment. Compared with hard-plastic jugs, flexible containers reduce the amount of plastic introduced into the waste stream by 60 percent.
The first product to be packaged in flexible containers is granular formulated Drive 75 DF herbicide.
In addition to helping the environment, the new packaging benefits golf course crews in the areas of pouring, storage and transportation.
