2007 record year for JCB

JCB, a manufacturer of construction equipment, set several records within its company due to 2007 sales.

JCB sold over 72,000 machines – an increase of 30 percent – bringing the company’s revenue during 2007 to $4.5 billion compared with $3.5 billion in 2006. Its share of the world construction equipment market rose from 10.4 percent in 2006 to 12 percent in 2007. In addition, India became JCB’s single largest market with sales of over 17,000 machines.

The company was also able to keep several leading positions in the world market including being the world’s leading backhoe manufacturer and the world’s leading manufacturer of telescopic handlers in 2007.

This year, JCB revealed 21 new products at the ConExpo show in Las Vegas, bringing its portfolio to 290 machines.
