The Mid-America Horticultural Trade Show (Mid-Am) board of directors elected new officials and appointed new directors. The board consists of representatives from the Illinois Green Industry Association (IGIA), the Illinois Landscape Contractors Association (ICLA) and the Wisconsin Green Industry Federation (WGIF).
Elected officials to the board for 2008-09 are as follows: Richard Harms, Countryside Flower Shop & Nursery, Crystal Lake, Illinois, representing IGIA, president; Barbara Rosborough, Rosborough Partners, Libertyville, Illinois, representing ILCA, vice president; Bill Vogel, Spring Valley Turf Products, Jackson, Wisconsin, representing WGIF, secretary and Carsten Hoffmeyer, Hoffie Nursery, Union, Illinois, representing IGIA, treasurer.
New appointments to the board are as follows: Steve Fiore, Rocco Fiore & Sons, Lake Forest, Illinois, representing ILCA, appointed to a three-year term and Terry Kurth, Weed Man Lawn Care, Middleton, Wisconsin, representing WGIF, appointed to a two-year term. Additionally, Hoffmeyer was reappointed for another three-year term.
