The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) has extended the deadline for its Safety Recognition Awards Program to June 6. The program is held annually, and both members and nonmembers can apply.
To apply, companies must submit an application, a copy of their OHSA Form 300A Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses, a copy of their year-end vehicle insurance claims summary report and a completed Safety Program Checklist, which is part of the application entry form. There is no fee to enter.
Companies may enter the program in four categories: No Vehicle Accidents, No Injuries or Illnesses, No Days Away From Work and Most Improved. An Overall Safety Achievement Award can be earned at the Gold, Silver or Bronze levels.
