Bayer Environmental Science announces two contests

Bayer Environmental Science is launching two contests for lawn care operators. The Bayer Lawn Care Institute Business Planning award will go to a green industry business that has successfully implemented an innovative and effective business development initiative to improve or grow its company. This initiative could include anything from the development of a Web site to the revision of daily routines to save resources.

The winner of the business planning award will be announced at the Lawn & Landscape Leadership Awards Ceremony at the GIE+EXPO in Louisville, Kentucky, in October. Submissions will be judged by the Bayer Lawn Care Institute Advisory Board and evaluated relative to a business’ size.

The second contest is the Green Space Renovation Contest. This will give lawn care operators a chance to give back to their communities. To enter, professionals should nominate a public space in their community such as a baseball field or park that is in need of renovation. The Lawn Care Institute Advisory Board will select three winning locations. Each company will receive $5,000 and appropriate Bayer products to renovate the nominated space. The company must commit to donate the time and manpower.

Entries for both contests are due by July 31. For more information on either contest, contact Meredith Setzman at [email protected].
