An updated and revised version of the popular gardening book, “A Year in the Garden: A Monthly Gardening Guide for the Gulf South,” is available thanks to the Friends of Magnolia Mound Plantation. The original edition, printed in the early ’90s, went out of print when all 10,000 copies were sold.
The new edition features all of the information from the previous book, as well as recipes, old notes, color photographs and information on the Magnolia Mound Plantation. The book is organized by month, allowing readers to easily determine what should be planted when. Information on seeding, transplanting and harvesting is also included.
