Toro hosts 2008 WaterSmart Symposium

Toro Irrigation’s third annual “Success Without Excess” WaterSmart Symposium is July 29-30. The symposium will be broadcast over the Internet so viewers can log in to watch the presentations that fit their interests.

Industry experts will speak on topics affecting worldwide water management and the irrigation industry. The morning session will include presentations from Larry Rohlfes, assistant executive director for the California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA), discussing CLCA Water Manager Certification; Stephanie Tanner, WaterSense products lead for the EPA and Mary Ann Dickinson, executive director for the Alliance for Water Efficiency, speaking on the mission of her organization.

Afternoon sessions include Brian Vinchesi, chairman of the Irrigation Association Smart Water Application Technologies (SWAT) Initiative, speaking on SWAT’s mission and accomplishments; Steve Bilson, president of ReWater Systems, providing information on residential gray water systems and Julian Gray, CEO of Smart Approved WaterMark, speaking on Smart Approved WaterMark in Australia.

Topics involving water management and irrigation best practices for the golf and agriculture markets will be covered through Webcasts on July 30.
