Toro’s ‘Name It & Claim It’ winner announced

During the summer, the Toro Company held the “Name It & Claim It” contest to name its new 2009 model stand-on mower. More than 4,200 entries were submitted for the mower through Toro’s Web site. Entries were judged on creativity, suitability for the product and compatibility with the Toro brand.

D. Gilbert, a Pennsylvania landscape contractor, submitted the winning entry. Gilbert’s name for the mower is the Toro GrandStand. Because his mower name was chosen, Gilbert will receive one of the first mowers off the production line.

The Toro GrandStand will be available with a 48- or 52-inch deck and with a 19- or 23-horsepower Kawasaki engine. To learn more about the GrandStand, visit www.toro.com/nameit.
