Total Landscape Care named business partners Bill Henkel and Gordon Denmark owners of Henkel Denmark of Lexington, Kentucky, the magazine’s 2012 Landscaper of the Year.
Sponsored by Case Construction Equipment, this annual program recognizes 12 finalists as the best and brightest of thousands of professionals who work in the landscaping industry. From Nov. 11 to 14, the finalists and their guests enjoyed an all-expenses-paid cruise to the Bahamas, where Henkel Denmark was named the winner during a gala banquet.
Henkel Denmark has garnered numerous previous awards for their work and experienced impressive growth in recent years. The company’s success comes from a diversified portfolio of services focusing primarily on landscape maintenance and design/build projects. Client properties range from large apartment complexes to sprawling thoroughbred farms and quaint urban courtyards. The company is actively involved in various landscaping industry trade associations and in its local community where it provides free landscaping services for local schools and Habitat for Humanity homes.
Henkel Denmark will be featured as the cover story for the January 2012 edition of Total Landscape Care, and each of the 11 finalists will be featured subsequently in profiles about their businesses throughout the year.
